Theresa L Courmier
Theresa Lois Conner Langley Courmier stepped away from this earthly realm and entered into heavenly peace on August 13, 2017. She was born in Jennings, LA on
July 1, 1949, the daughter of Albert and Maydell Conner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 16, at 2:30pm. Very Reverend Tony Fontenot will be the celebrant with Rev. Mr Tony Pousson serving as Deacon. Interment will be at Consolata Cemetery.
Theresa was a 1967 graduate of LaGrange High School and attended McNeese State University. Through the student - work program at LaGrange High School she began working at the Boling Insurance Agency at the age of 17, remaining there for many years. She later retired from the Calcasieu Police Jury Accounting Department.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jeffrey Allen Langley, brothers: Thomas (Dorothy) Conner, Keith (Carol) Conner, Leonard (Marilyn) Conner and Kenneth Phillip (Mary Beth) Conner. Sisters; Sharon (John) Gaspard and DeJuana (Ron) Bellow. She is also survived by Winston June Langley, the father of her son, her step-children Denise Courmier, James Terry (Pam) Courmier, and step-daughters- in -law, Carla Courmier and Belinda Courmier Sargent. In addition, she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, step- grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren all of whom she cared for dearly. The family is especially appreciative to her great nephew, Ryan Reynolds, who so generously assisted with her care.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 15 years James Courmier, parents Albert and Roberta Maydell Cormier Conner, paternal grandparents Abra and Teresa Conner, maternal grandparents Emily Dugas Barras Dupuis and Felix Cormier, step- grandfathers Phillip Barras and Julian Dupris, sister-in-law Phyllis Ardoin LeBleu, step -sons Gerald Courmier and Lawrence Courmier . infant step- granddaughter Cheyenne and step -grandson James Courmier.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis Tenn.
Theresa was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and found great consolation and peace in faithfully praying the Rosary. She was a loving and devoted mother to her son. She was a wonderful cook, delighted in celebrating the holidays surrounded by family and loved to travel. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, including the Bayou Belles Pokeno Group, her “Sista-hood’, and the “Red-Hots” from Lake Arthur. Her generous heart, giving spirit, and contagious laugh will be dearly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
