Last Sat. was our 47th anniversary and I miss her so much. Reminds me of the one I forgot about a few years ago. Lois had invited friends over for dinner and ask that I open a bottle of wine and offer a toast. I was stuck as to what to say and she said, "you might toast our anniversary", with a big smile. Lois was the most wonderful wife that a man could have had!!

Jimmy,

This is really is not my memory but yours that you shared with me way back when & I hope that you will not mind me sharing.

I remember you telling me after your cancer ordeal that you experienced, that you gained an entirely new respect for your wife after all of that because she cared for you and did things for you during that time that you would never want any person to have to do for another person. You expressed that you knew that she did not HAVE to do those things for you and you felt that she took care of you and did those things because that's how deeply she loved you. You told me that you started loving her on a WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL THAN YOU ALREADY LOVED HER.

That story touched me deeply. I've remembered it many times before today, but today I wanted to remind you of that wonderful story of an unmeasurable in-depth love you two had, a story that you shared with me and others. And I hope and pray that you will be comforted each day by many of the wonderful memories you and your wife shared. They don't all have to be memories of roses and rainbows to be great & bring you comfort.

My prayers are with you all. Lois was always so kind to me, I could always count on prayers. She is a true Proverbs 31 Woman. Lois was an amazing sister, daughter, wife, mother, and so much more. Lois, I will miss you very much. I will always remember your warm smile, that distinct laugh, and some of those funny analogies you came up with. ( ie, a dollar two forty, and that nickname you gave me, which I refuse to reveal) You were at the house the night I left for the Marines, you were always that last stop on the way home from North Carolina or Virginia. You always had a hot meal cooked for me and you Let me crash at your house. That last hour drive home was always the worst. Christmas was always fun. You and Jimmy bought Troy and I top of the line toys and fun things to play with. We always got to go to the beach with y'all when a cabin was rented. You and Jimmy took us to fun fair park in Baton Rouge to ride the rides and ride the water slide. We got to go swimming at y'all's apartment. It was always fun and I will never forget you. Thanks for being my big sister who always cared, prayed for me when the chips were down, and being that second mother. Love, Todd
